Very beautiful and rare fifty CARENA 38DS built in Holland by the renowned PORSIUS shipyard in 1989.
The shaped hull and deck are made of steel. The draft is 1.80m.
The deck is covered in very good quality solid teak.
This CARENA 38 DS has a large forward cabin, a bathroom with shower and marine toilet, a U-shaped kitchen with a 3-burner gas stove + stainless steel oven, a refrigerator and a double-bowl stainless steel sink. .
The Deck Saloon gives you a 360° view, the saloon can be transformed into a large double berth.
The CARENA 38DS has two helm stations: one sheltered in the saloon and one outside.
The 60hp VOLVO engine is from 2022, and is only 250 hours old. The reverser is new as well as the MAXPROP 4-blade folding propeller. This engine replacement made it possible to increase the cruising speed of the CARENA 38DS by 2 knots (7.50 knots at 2000 rpm).
For port maneuvers, a powerful bow thruster greatly facilitates the movement of the boat.
The standing rigging, less than 10 years old, is in DYFORM single-strand (more efficient cable), the mainsail and genoa are new (purchased in 2022 and used for the first time in 2024), the spinnaker is in new condition.
A releasable stay allows the use of the storm jib. A self-tacking rail is installed.
The windlass is manual, but the electrical wiring is installed to put an electric windlass.
Power on board and engine is provided by 4 110 AH slow discharge batteries, the bow thruster has 2 OPTIMA batteries and 1 VICTRON battery charger. The main battery charger is a VICTRON with 12v/220v converter. A VICTRON battery controller manages the entire battery fleet.
The electronics are recent:
Exterior helm station – RAYMARINE AXIOM 9 GPS/PLOTTER (2020) with AIS and bow camera, GARMIN multifunction display for log/speedo- depth sounder- wind vane anemometer, and GARMIN display for the autopilot (hydraulic power unit).
Interior helm station – VHF ICOM ICM 506 AIS, GPS/GARMIN PLOTTER and car radio with interior and exterior speakers.
For comfort, this CARENA 38DS has EBERSPACHER heating with 2 outlets, hot and cold water under pressure with a 250 L tank, a rear platform allowing access to the WORLD TRAVEL 2.35 annex and YAMAHA F2.5 engine.
This CARENA 38DS is available immediately, the 2024 fairing is done, engine maintenance is up to date.
