Remarks :
1991 Moody 31 MK II Bilge Keel £27,250
The Moody 31 MKII is fast becoming a classic family cruising yacht thanks to their comfortable accommodation, good all round performance and sugar scoop stern. "Koala" is a very good example of her kind with the advantage of bilge keels with tiller steering, electric windlass, diesel heating, autopilot, 2010 Crusader sails and more. If you are considering a Moody 31 MKII she should be viewed as she is likely to be one of the best available.
Viewing by appointment only through our Kent Office at +44 (0)1634 571605
Accommodation :
The Moody 31 MK II provides accommodation for up to six people in two cabins, offering approximately 6 feet of headroom.
In the forepeak, there's a double V berth with an infill, ample storage including a wardrobe, cupboard, and side shelves, as well as an opening deck hatch overhead for ventilation and natural light.
Aft of the forepeak, the saloon presents two settee berths on both the port and starboard sides, flanking the central table. Under-seat stowage and numerous lockers and cupboards are spread throughout the saloon.
Situated on the starboard side aft of the saloon, the galley features a stainless-steel sink equipped with pressurized hot and cold water. It also includes a gimballed 2-burner gas cooker with a grill and oven, a top-loading fridge, and ample storage space.
Beyond the galley lies a double aft cabin, complete with a hanging locker, ample storage, and a portlight.
On the port side, across from the galley, the Moody 31 Mk II features a forward-facing navigation station ideal for accommodating full-size charts. The table beneath provides storage space for multiple charts, while also housing the navigational instrumentation and the electrical distribution panel.
Aft of the chart table lies the separate heads compartment, furnished with a white sink set in a vanity unit, complete with pressurized hot and cold water. Additionally, it features a built-in shower tray, a marine toilet, and a mirror.
This Moody 31 Mk II also benefits from a diesel fired heating system with timer with outlets in saloon, heads, fore and aft cabins. The galley and heads pressurised water is supplied via a calorifier being heated by the engine and 240v immersion heater.
